In reaction to the terrorist attack in Paris, we have gotten these types of comments:

“There’s too many [expletive] guns out there.  Especially in America. I think the population is like, 320 million? There’s over 300 million guns. Privately owned, in America. I think it’s a [expletive] disgrace. Every week now we’re picking up a newspaper and seeing, ‘Yet another few kids have been killed in schools.’”

Fox News Poll: By 2-to-1 margin Americans believe in More Guns, Less Crime

This result is from a Fox News poll given from January 15-17, 2013, and so it was done right after the Newtown attack. Presumably the results at other times would have been even more lopsided.

Still the Fox News survey is possibly biased in that it compares a complete ban with some more gun ownership.…
