A write-in candidate for mayor in Hawthorne, California was part of a scam to submit over 8,000 voter registration form for homeless people. One wonders if this case weren’t done for a write-in candidate whether it would have drawn the same attention.
…A man who tried to run for mayor in Hawthorne is among two people charged in a voter fraud case in which thousands of fraudulent voter registration applications were allegedly submitted on behalf of homeless people, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
We have been collecting cases on vote fraud (see an earlier post here) and we have done extensive research on voting rules in other countries (showing that most countries ban absentee ballots because of concern over vote fraud). But with the apparent vote fraud problems in the November 2020 election, it seems time to post some more examples of the problems with absentee or universal mail in ballots.…

But there are other problems with mail-in ballots. In New York City a large percentage of ballots were invalidated, from 19% in Manhattan to 28% in Brooklyn.…

…Thirty-seven states have changed their mail-in voting procedures this year in response to the coronavirus. They have followed the lead of Democrats and the media, who claim that concerns about voter fraud and vote buying are figments of the Republican imagination.
The vast majority of Europe and developed countries ban absentee ballots, let alone the type of universal mail-in voting that is being demanded these days (our research is available here).
There are problems with both vote buying and vote fraud. Vote buying cases are particularly difficult to show because both the buyer and the seller have an incentive to hide the transaction.…
Over three elections, a election judge in Philadelphia has pleaded guilty to standing in an election booth and voting as fast as he could over and over again. Domenick J. DeMuro faces up to 15 years in federal prison for this fraud. From the Philadelphia Inquirer:
…A former judge of elections and Democratic committeeperson from South Philadelphia pleaded guilty to accepting $2,500 in bribes to inflate the vote totals for three Democratic candidates for Common Pleas Court judge between 2014 and 2016, U.S.
