New Mexico House Consumer and Public Affairs committee member and bill sponsor State Representative Stefani Lord invited Dr. John Lott to be the lead witness on HB 279. The bill was an attempt to bring New Mexico in line with the laws in 40 other states and the Federal government that prohibit the seizure of guns during emergencies.…
Dr. John Lott testified before a joint Utah House and State committee about Red Flag Laws and Universal Background Checks. The committee was the Utah Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Interim Committee. Lott was introduced to the committee by Curt Oda, who served in the Utah state House from 2005 through 2016.…
Dr. John Lott testified before the Pennsylvania Senate Judiciary Committee for a “Public hearing on Behavioral Health, Second Amendment Rights, and other Gun-Related Issues.” The hearing took place in Harrisburg on Tuesday September 24, 2019. Lott was asked to be the last witness to testify so that he could comment on all the other witnesses.…
