The Arizona State University Federalist Society sponsored a debate between Dr. John Lott and AZ state Representative (soon to be state Senator) Juan Mendez about Campus Carry at public universities in Arizona on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016.

Later that day, John Lott also gave a talk that evening to Students for Self Defense at Arizona State University.…

The proposition for debate was: “In order to reduce its murder-rate, the U.S. needs more stringent gun-control laws.”

John Lott argued against the proposition. Dr. Lott’s book, “More Guns, Less Crime,” now in its third edition, was first published in 1998. He holds a PhD in economics from UCLA and has held teaching and/or research positions at Wharton, University of Chicago, Stanford, and Yale.…

Debate with former Brady Campaign President at the Indiana University Law School, also picture of crowd from Lott’s talk in Elko, Nevada

Picture taken about 10 minutes before the debate started between former Fort Wayne mayor and Brady Center gun control advocate Paul Helmke and Crime Prevention Research Center President John Lott.  There were about 100 people in the audience.  The debate took place on Tuesday March 8th, 2016.  Later that same day Lott gave a talk at the Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis law school.…

CPRC’s John Lott debated Third Way’s Jim Kessler, the former Director of Policy and Research for Americans for Gun Safety and a former staffer for Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY).  The debate took place in DC on Saturday, February 27th from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
