Media Bias on Guns: Yet another television police character saying they don’t like guns

Jun 26, 2019 | Featured

On Netflix’s police drama Unit 42, a female police officer is reticent to go into after a criminal because she doesn’t want to take her gun with her.

Female officer: Aren’t we waiting for the tactical unit?

Male officer: I am surprised you don’t want to go in solo.

Female officer: I am not a huge fan of weapons.

Male officer: You waste your firearms training.

Recent examples from television where the characters (including TV police characters) say that they “hate”/”dislike” guns can be seen: herehere, herehere, here, here, here, and here.

Yet they make a fortune from the use of guns in movies. The least they could do is use them properly.

Interesting that this character in this movie, chose not understand the need for, or use of a gun, when they were supposedly a trained officer of the law. Now is this the kind of police officer you want working for your city, town or municipality??? Not me man. Very poor characterization.

It’s as ridiculous as a surgeon that is afraid of a scalpel…. The writer that came up with that should be fired, and then humiliated.

So is there really a question of whether Trump reduced crime in DC? Did the Washington Post inaccurately report murder data to make the drop look smaller than it actually is?

So is there really a question of whether Trump reduced crime in DC? Did the Washington Post inaccurately report murder data to make the drop look smaller than it actually is?

The Washington Post doesn't really want to give President Trump credit for the drop in crime in DC. Please look at the graph above and notice that there was a discrete change in August and September 2025 (and the change only started about half way through August on...
