This is Dr. John Lott’s brief testimony before the Wyoming state Senate Judiciary Committee on February 18th, 2025. The bill had already passed the House by a veto proof 50-to-10 margin. On February 18th, 2025, the bill was unanimously approved by the state Senate Judiciary Committee. Dr. Lott had written an op-ed with Wyoming state Senator Cheri Steinmetz in the state’s largest newspaper. Multiple witnesses on both sides of the gun control referenced Lott’s research.
