Georgia Permit Holder Uses Gun to Stop Carjacking

The fact that the police shook the permit holder’s hand says it all.  Apparently this is the second time that the permit holder has used his gun in self defense.  As the TV anchorwoman says, the permit holder certainly doesn’t plan on becoming a victim any time soon.  In this case the permit holder was black and the criminal was white.  …

Greg Gutfeld and the rest of The Five explain the benefits of concealed carry, especially for blacks

Watch the latest video at video.foxnews.com

This discussion is excellent and there is little to critically comment on. Greg Gutfeld, Ainsley Earhardt, Jedediah Bila, and Eric Bolling clearly explain the issues. CPRC in Fox News: Police are extremely Law-abiding, but concealed handgun permit holders are even more so

John Lott’s newest piece at Fox News starts this way:

. . . Gun control advocates just can’t accept the fact that concealed handgun permit holders are incredibly law-abiding.  The New York Times’ recent attack on permit holders is typical.  It is filled with triple-counting of legitimate self-defense cases. Murders or suicides by permit holders are blamed on guns, even when no gun was involved.

Updated: Comparing conviction rates between police and concealed carry permit holders

A recent study provides numbers on police convictions over a three-year period from January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2007.  This data was put together by doing news searches on media sources throughout the US.  The problem with this method is that not all cases where police officers have been convicted of crimes will obtain news coverage, and the authors of this study undoubtedly missed even some of the cases that were reported.

John Lott’s newest piece at Fox News on the New York Times reporting the latest Violence Policy Center claims starts this way:

People walking the streets with guns pose a danger to others, right? With 12 million Americans across all 50 states now having concealed handgun permits, one would think that this question would have been settled one way or another.
