Dr. John Lott and Professor Gary Mauser have an op-ed in the Toronto Sun and other newspapers across Canada about Prime Minister Trudeau’s gun ban.
…On Friday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau immediately banned the sale of 1,500 models and variants of firearms.
Some of these guns are already banned, but the guns he banned are not the “military-grade assault weapons” that Trudeau warns of.
With Canada government considering a ban on handguns, the Toronto Police Association has spoken out against the ban.
…“There’s no way in my world or any world I know that this would have an impact on somebody who’s going to go out and buy an illegal gun and use it to kill another person or shoot another person,” Mike McCormack, the president of the Toronto Police Association, said Friday.
Dr. John Lott was on Canada’s National Post Radio, Sirius 167, to discuss Canada’s possible ban on handguns. Lott was discussing the recent piece he had published in the National Post.
