The CPRC is first and foremost an academic organization, as can be seen from our academic board of directors. It is with that in mind that we made the decision to recognize quality academic research that deals with issues of crime. Professor Glenn Harlan Reynolds at the University of Tennessee Law School received the CPRC’s first Academic of the Year Award. Reynolds is a prolific scholar, who is currently ranked 52nd on the Social Science Research Network out of well over 200,000 academics. His research has covered topics from the power of prosecutors when everything is a crime and they have discretion to many aspects of the Second Amendment. Professor Reynolds blogged about getting the award here and here.
