Unfortunately, television police shows always seem to have something go wrong with a concealed handgun permit holder, either being fatally shot by the criminal without stopping the crime, shooting the wrong person, getting in the way of the police, or, in this case, having his gun taken away by the criminal. Unfortunately, CBS’s (Season 7 Episode 5, November 18, 2024) is no different. In that show, a mass murderer turns out to have a concealed handgun permit. Of course, there has never been a concealed handgun permit holder who is a mass murderer. Permit holders are extremely law-abiding, even compared to police officers.
