At Fox News: How Bloomberg’s 2015 Racist Remarks Are Riddled With Inaccuracies

Feb 17, 2020 | Featured

Dr. John Lott talked to Harris Faulkner on Fox News (Tueaday, February 11, 2020, from 1:15 to 1:20 PM) about Bloomberg’s claim:

“95 percent of your murders — murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16 to 25. That’s true in New York. That’s true in virtually every city…And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the wall and frisk them.”

The key here is that Bloomberg’s apology for “Stop and Frisk” isn’t really relevant for the racist claims being made here. Harris Faulkner asked Lott compare Bloomberg’s public press conferences where he defended Stop and Frisk with this private statement. The concern is that the above private statement more likely represents Bloomberg’s true views on minorities and crime.

You always have good interviews and this one on Bloomberg was no exception. the left loves to paint conservatives with a broad brush and I can’t help but enjoy a little schadenfreude over them getting a taste of their own medicine. I think you touched on it briefly, but wasn’t “stop and frisk” effective in reducing the carrying of weapons by criminals because they didn’t want to be caught with one and arrested for that? Didn’t it also help to protect officers while they were interviewing suspects? Keep up the good work and stay away from the boxing ring. 😉
