Dr. John Lott testified before a joint Utah House and State committee about Red Flag Laws and Universal Background Checks. The committee was the Utah Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice Interim Committee. Lott was introduced to the committee by Curt Oda, who served in the Utah state House from 2005 through 2016. Lott’s PowerPoint is available here, though during the question and answer period Lott made reference to some of the graphs that are available here.

    Great work John.
The questions showed that the convinced anti-gun audience still wanted to believe and still believes the cherry picked data from the anti-gun lobby.

Clearly you were not going to change their opinion in one presentation but they may start to think about the information they are taking as fact. One comment that your data must be wrong… then you show the UN data and you get silence was worth the trip.

It shows the power of the anti-gun lobby, legacy media bais and control of media to control opinion. When these groups say the NRA is controlling the power of influence.

You get my vote as the best balanced and opposing fact source in this otherwise on sided debate.

What size is your budget compared to the NRA? Just to help me put your contribution in an economic perspective.
