Scalise was apparently denied a chance to make his case today.
If any GOPer votes for this nonsense, he/she should be recalled or voted out.
A very sad situation for that young lady. This reminds me of another case at the Luby Cafeteria in Killeen, TX where another young lady, Susan Gratia-Hupp, was prevented by law from bringing her concealed carry firearm into that restaurant while she dined there with her parents. The dirtbag shooter drove his truck through the front window of the restaurant, exited his vehicle, and killed 23 people, which included her parents. Her gun was in the trunk of her vehicle instead of on her person because she chose to obey the anti-gun law. This law in no way stopped the criminal from carrying out his mass murders, but prevented a law-abiding citizen from potentially saving lives and as a result made her parents victims of this low-life shooter. These laws turn gun-free-zones into victim-zones.
