On Steve Gruber’s Michigan Talk Network to talk about bill protecting the interstate transportation of firearms

Dr. John Lott talked to Steve Gruber about a bill by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Congressman Morgan Griffith (R-VA) that will prevent anyone with a gun, ammunition, or magazines from falling outside of the law simply by passing through a state.  A copy of the legislation is available here.  To transport the firearm or ammunition in a motor vehicle through all the states, the firearm must be unloaded and the firearm is not directly accessible from the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
