The TSN has also kept trans in a state of fearful paranoia by claiming a “trans genocide,” which has played a role in dramatically increasing the numbers of trans engaging in mass shooting attacks. Dr. John R. Lott puts trans at 0.73% of the population but notes they commit mass attacks at between 12 and 16.3X their population share. They are also disproportionately suicidal, with 48% seriously considering suicide in the last year and 10-12% attempting suicide. Compare this to the rest of the American population with 4.3% considering suicide and 0.6% making the attempt.

Some gun rights advocates cite research by economist John Lott, who leads the Crime Prevention Research Center, suggesting that about 82% of mass shootings occurred in gun-free zones between 1998 and 2025.
“All you do by creating a gun-free zone is creating a magnet — just read the diaries and manifestos. All you do is create a magnet for those who want to go and kill people,” Lott, who also served as a senior adviser for research and statistics at the U.S. Department of Justice during the first Trump administration, told Stateline. . . .

It is worth noting that New Jersey, which is run by Democrats, has strict gun laws. This applies to the new shooting because 92% of mass shootings between 1950 and 2024 occurred in gun-free zones, according to the Crime Prevention Research Center. In other words, the overwhelming majority of mass shooters specifically target areas where they know there is a low likelihood of other people being armed and able to defend themselves. So as usual, Democrat policies failed citizens and facilitated the murderous goals of a criminal. A state with unarmed law-abiding citizens encourages armed criminals. . . .

The Issue: Democrats’ opposition to the SAVE Act, which would require citizens to show ID when voting.
The majority of US citizens believe we should have proof of citizenship and voter ID (“Voter ID: a Global Rule,” John R. Lott Jr., March 27).
Whether Republican or Democrat, our elected officials are supposed to represent all of us. So whether you’re a Republican or Democrat, let your elected officials know you’re unhappy they’re not voting for the SAVE Act. Only you can be the chemo for the Schumer tumor.

Given the Post’s politics, it doesn’t seem likely that they’ll offer this promotion to John Lott or Hickok45; instead, this could corporatize and, with soft pressure (if you want to keep access to this audience, be careful!), enable the mainstream media to control more of the marketplace. . . .

Incidentally, John Lott, president of the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) has been warning of the danger of “gun-free” zones for years. In fact, Lott’s research shows that the vast majority of mass shootings occur in such areas where lawful citizens do not carry, but criminals remain armed.
Lott noted this important fact in his testimony on mass shooters and “gun-free” zones before the Wyoming state Senate Judiciary Committee in February 2025. . . .

The Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) released its most recent findings on AI chatbot anti-gun bias in December 2025. Compared to CPRC’s findings roughly two years ago, things have gotten worse.
The center’s report surveyed 13 chatbots. “Between our original survey in February 2024 and the latest survey in December 2025, the total scores became more liberal…,” it notes.
Nearly all AI systems tested incorrectly claimed Australia’s homicide rate dropped after its firearm confiscation. “However, as we have shown, Australia did not impose a complete ban on all guns or all handguns during the 1996–97 confiscation, and by 2010, gun ownership exceeded its level at the time of the confiscation,” the report states. “Moreover, as we have previously pointed out, analysts based the claim that firearm homicides fell on faulty statistics and total homicides actually rose.” . . . .

When John Lott talks gun policy, he doesn’t deal in vibes. He deals in numbers. And in his recent interview on Alaska’s Michael Dukes Show, he laid out several data points that directly challenge some of the most common claims in the gun control debate.
One of the first areas he touched on was the concept of “gun-free zones,” particularly on military bases, where he pointed to a clear pattern in how attackers select targets.
These murderers time after time… write about how they pick these targets precisely because they want to go to a gun-free zone,” Lott explained. “Their goal is to kill as many people as possible… and they know if they go to a place where people are banned from having guns… they’re going to be able to kill more people.”
That idea ties directly into his broader argument about deterrence and who actually bears the burden of these policies. But where Lott really digs in is the data behind crime and mass shootings.
On the topic of mass public shootings, he pushed back hard on the commonly repeated narrative about who is responsible for these attacks, citing his own compiled dataset:
“If you look at all the mass public shootings in the United States from 1998 through the end of last year… about 70% of these shooters are individuals who are suicidal,” he said. “Only about 7% are classified as racist or anti-immigrant or white supremacist of any type.” . . .
