Dr. John Lott with the Crime Prevention Research Center and Alabama Lawyer Eric Guster appeared on Good Morning Britain with Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid the day after the Texas church massacre. As Britain’s Daily Star newspaper headline noted: “Piers Morgan yells at Good Morning Britain guest in heated Texas shooting row.” As usual for Piers’ style, he tried to both ask and answer his questions, monopolizing most of the time. Morgan yelled for Lott to “shut up!” and “Silence!”
The lively exchange also got a fair amount of attention in the UK.

Please go on Fox or some other platform and speak out the truth about the EU where people are subjects and bow to a queen and Americans are free people who are able to defend their families …..and our country has states bigger than countries in the EU and that violent crime in the UK/EU is much worse with knives,bats,trucks were people live in fear and police don’t even have guns!

Demonstrating YOUR ignorance? I stopped an intrusion without firing a a shot. The sight of a .45 and a snarling dog did the trick. BTW, The Department of Justice has a reseach arm called the Bureau of Justice Statistics and they released a tdudy in 2015 which showed that vioolent crime in America was a a f40 yr LOW. In fact from 1991-2013 crine dropped 52% but it is hidden from the people by a yammering press.
WHILE this drop was happening we went from 70 million legal gun owners with 90 million legal guns to 110 million legal owners with 360-400 million guns and over 3 TRILLION rounds of ammunition. We shoot several hundred rounds a month and do have to say “By your leave” because Americans are free men and women and not serfs with cell phones. WE don’t cry and assume the “victim posture” (fetal positon) as YOU are required. We FIGHT. BTW we stop over 1 MILLION crimes a year but since 90% of the time NO shot is fired as in my case it never makes the press beyond the immediate vicinity.

Notice the incredible bias in the UK headlines. John Lott is not a “lobbyist”, for one thing. Second, Piers “fiery form?” More like rude, obnoxious, and egotistical form. All Piers did was expose that he’s afraid of and can’t win a genuine debate, so he has resort to yelling, personal attacks and not letting the other person talk. Fiery? Cowardly is more like it. Social media “gushed?” I saw plenty of *negative* reactions to Piers childish behavior, but of course leftist media typically ignores that the other side exists.

Why do you discuss only gun violencewith this fanatic? In the UK they have a huuge violence problem. The victims couldn’t care less if threatened by knife, fist or gun crimes. The difference is only that victims there are garanteed helpless.
I don’t know why you waste your time talking to Piers. It’s not that he’s a true believer in gun control that bothers me. That’s easy to overcome. It’s that he’s rude and obnoxious, and feels entitled to do so because he feels morally superior. He has no respect for you, and only has you on his show so he can vent his anger at a live person.
And, he’s British, so it’s not as if his opinion is worth anything. He doesn’t get a say in how America deals with its domestic issues.
