Most Likely Voters Approve of Trump Finding and Deporting Illegal Aliens and Think Trump Can Use the National Guard to Defend ICE Offices

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of 1,184 likely voters on October 7th to 9th finds that 53% of Likely U.S. voters support Trump finding and deporting illegal aliens, including 39% who Strongly Support the president’s policy. Forty-three percent (43%) are opposed, including 29% who Strongly Oppose it. Liberals, Democrats, moderates, and blacks oppose this policy. Among the different education levels, those who went to graduate school are the least supportive while those who didn’t graduate from high school, the people who are likely least skilled, are most supportive removing illegal aliens.

Similarly, 52% of Likely U.S. voters support using National Guard troops to defend ICE facilities, including 39% who Strongly Support the president’s policy. Forty-three percent (43%) are opposed, including 33% who Strongly Oppose deploying troops to defend ICE offices. Liberals, Democrats, moderates, those with a graduate school education, and blacks oppose Trump’s policy. The least educated most strongly support Trump on this.

Fifty-six percent (56%) of voters agree with top White House adviser Stephen Miller that: “We have seen, over the last nine months, an ongoing legal insurrection in which district court judges … have issued rulings that are flagrantly unlawful and unconstitutional.” Thirty-eight percent (38%) Strongly Agree, while 31% disagree, of whom 20% who Strongly Disagree. There is no group of voters who clearly disagree with Miller’s statement. The Excel file is available here.
