Transgenders in Federal Prison: 15.3% of Prisoners in Women’s Prison are Men, 0.5% of Prisoners in Men’s Prison are Women

The Federal Bureau of Prisons has numbers on the sex of inmates. Of the 10,025 people in federal women’s prisons, 1,529 are men or 15.3%. Of the 143,714 people in federal men’s prisons, 744 are women or 0.5%. So-called transgender females are thus greater over represented in federal prisons relative to their share of women.

    Do you have figures in the increase of pregnancies in these prisons?

      Nope, but we looked for them. I agree that it is an obvious thing to look for.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey asked likely voters from April 15to 17th: "You cannot just free the criminals and think crime is going to go down magically, you have to imprison [criminals] so you can liberate 350 million Americans...
