Around the world there is a strong movement to criminalizing speech that others disagree with.

It is amazing how censorship is evolving in other English speaking countries from the UK to Canada to Australia. Here is a discussion by Jordan Peterson about Canada. It is stunning to me how in about eight years the left has pushed Peterson from being a pretty standard liberal academic to being in the vanguard of the “right.” For the UK, they are threatening to jail even Americans who tweet out videos of riots or talking about crimes committed by muslims.
