Dr. John Lott gave a talk at a Berkeley Springs 2024 Conference on the collapse of law enforcement in the US. Dr. Lott disagreed with what he was told were the concerns of others at the conference regarding legal immigration and also pointed out that many gun control laws discriminate against the poor and minorities, particularly blacks.
I confess that I didn’t really know much about VDare, but I had known Peter Brimelow from when he was a reporter/columnist at Forbes and he invited me to speak. But I gave the same talk that I always give and mentioned how minorities are the most likely victims of violent crime and the ones who benefit the most from owning guns. Amusingly, racist Nicholas J. Fuentes apparently didn’t appreciate my comments.
