ABC’s The Rookie demonizing 223 rounds, falsely claiming they are used by snipers

ABC’s The Rookie wants to demonize AR-15s and the ammunition that they use. So if they aren’t going after AR-15s civilians own as machine guns, they are claiming that AR-15s are supposedly the favorite gun for snipers (Season 4, Episode 3, October 10, 2021). But as Sniper Central explains:

“While it is possible to achieve acceptable accuracy at 600 meters on a calm day, it is too risky on the windy days to really consider this round for military sniping purposes. Due to the lack of penetration and lack of energy, the . … 223 has not garnered much support as a sniping caliber.“
