Dr. John Lott talked to the TRT (the Turkish public broadcast service) about claims about mass killing in the United States. The discussion covered many topics from problems with drug gangs to ease of obtaining guns to the dangers of gun-free zones.

    Dr. Lott, is the problem that the system let one minority kid slide, a usually over policed group who aren’t usually the perpetrators of non gang related domestic terrorism, which includes mass shootings, or that we didn’t drop the hammer on another angry white supremacist who had a history of violence and made threats, and generally do a majority of the large acts of domestic terrorism, or something else (just because a limited set of options can yield no real answers)? No matter the answer, can you please elaborate as I did believe you have some interesting data and findings in that? It would also be awesome if you also touch on why these groups aren’t treated like and controlled as gangs, terrorists, or undesirables members in the eyes of some in the gun community.
