An armed bystander chased after the suspect in a domestic-violence stabbing at Seattle Center on Friday afternoon, backing him down until another man pepper-sprayed the suspect and police eventually Tazed and arrested him. . . .
The armed man, Scott Brown, works at one of the stands in The Armory, the food-court area in the Seattle Center where the stabbing took place. He was there on his day off to meet a friend when he heard the incident.
“I saw a girl on the ground laying on someone’s lap, people rushing over,” he said. “My focus was going outside.”
Brown has his concealed-pistol license and was carrying his handgun, so when the suspect ran out of the area, he decided to chase him down.
“I saw the knife in his right hand, so I ran after him. I kept getting him to try and put down the knife,” he said. “We kept walking backwards and backwards and backwards.”

“The complainant, reporting person, who was a licensed CCW holder from a neighboring county here locally, pulled his firearm and discharged his firearm at the person who was attempting to rob him,” said Sacramento County Sheriff’s Sgt. Shaun Hampton. “The person that was attempting to rob him was struck numerous times.”
The man died before paramedics arrived. He has not been identified.
Investigators questioned the business owner following the shooting.
“Fortunately, the person carrying his firearm was a licensed CCW holder and was well within, at this point from what we understand, his right to do what he had to do to defend himself,” Hampton said.

Police say one man tried to rob another man at gunpoint and shot him.
In an attempt to help the robbery victim, another man present at the bar shot the suspected robber.
That man is licensed to carry a gun.

Police say a black man pulled a gun on a woman who was leaving the bank and demanded she hand over her purse. She refused and presented her own gun. The suspect then ran away and left in his vehicle.

A call to Clinton police said a man was accosting an elderly woman outside the Kroger on U.S. Hwy. 80 at around 3:50 p.m., WJTV reported. The man took the woman’s purse, WAPT reported. As the suspect drove away in a black Kia, another shopper in the fired a shot at the vehicle.

“From our review of information and evidence obtained, we anticipate no charges against the store employee who fired upon the robber,” the statement reads. “The facts establish that employee was a victim who faced the threat of imminent death.” . . .
Smithgall, 72, pulled a weapon and shot Brandon Lee Galette after he and another robber, who has not been identified, enter Smithgall’s Pharmacy in the 500 block of West Lemon Street shortly before 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 23, police said.
During the attempted robbery, Smithgall pulled out his own firearm. Smithgall and Galette wrestled over the firearm, and Smithgall ultimately fired three shots, according to court documents.

About 7:45 p.m., the armed man entered Peter’s Chicken and Seafood at 7361 N. 19th St. and announced a robbery, said Chief Inspector Scott Small. The owner drew his own gun and the bullets started to fly.
The alleged robber fired four shots before fleeing. The owner, who fired three shots, told police he wasn’t sure if he hit the perpetrator. But about 15 minutes later, the alleged robber, whose name was not released, showed up at Einstein Medical Center with a gunshot wound to his chest and was admitted in critical condition. The owner and an employee went to the hospital and positively identified the man as the doer.

Chief Harris said the gunman told his accomplice to grab the money behind the counter. That’s when Hassan pulled him away and made her way behind the counter.
When she was not looking, the gunman shot Hassan in the leg then ran out the door with his accomplice.
Hassan grabbed a .45 caliber pistol shot at the two men inside the store, limped to the door and shot at them at least three more times as the masked men ran across the street, Harris said.

Police say the owner of the store killed the would-be robber in self-defense, despite not finding any evidence that the intruder had a gun.
The owner of the bodega had a license to own a .357 Magnum revolver, a law enforcement official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation.
There are no charges pending against that store owner, said Patrice M. O’Shaughnessy, a spokeswoman for the Bronx district attorney’s office.

Harris County deputies said they were responding to reports of a burglary at the business when they were told that the business owner had fired his gun at the intruder. The burglar fled the business, leaving a large blood trail behind, deputies said.
