After the Parkland School shooting in Florida, Dr. John Lott appeared on Fox Business’s Varney & Company to discuss the mass public shooting and what could be done from changes in background check rules to getting rid of gun-free zones. They discussed whether some teachers and staff at schools should be able to carry permitted concealed handguns.  In just a short five minutes, Dr. Lott provides a concise description of the debate over what can be done to stop these attacks.

UPDATE: Data directly from the Federal Police shows a different set of numbers (Original Post below). The number of CAC licenses in Brazil increased from 867,472 in 2022 to 1,026,633 in 2026 (see screenshots below), but those are internal government numbers that links...
