Former CEO of NPR gives shoutout to John Lott for his help on Tucker Carlson’s TV Show, Mark Levin Radio Show

Tucker Carlson interviewed Ken Stern, a former CEO for NPR and a Democrat, about his new book “Republican Like Me.” Stern talked to experts in all sorts of areas, and the one person who he was nice enough to mention in this segment was Dr. John Lott.  Stern mentioned Lott at 3:24 into the segment.

Dr. Lott’s conversations may not have won over Stern, but we have read Stern’s book and he gives a fairly balanced presentation on the gun issue.

Ken Stern was also interviewed by Mark Levin (October 27, 2017 from 8:20 to 8:30 PM).

Stern said he took issues he was positive he was right about – including “climate change, poverty programs, and guns” – and challenged himself by talking with people like gun-control skeptic John Lott. Jr.

“I went hunting. I went to gun shows. I talked to experts. I did my own research. And I really came away with a very different perspective, because I tried to look at it from other people’s points of view. When you do that, you’re going to change,” he said. . . .

In an interview with NewsMax

“I went pig hunting in Texas,” Stern said. “I went and spent a lot of time in churches, little evangelical churches, mega churches, big evangelical youth conferences. I went to Pikeville, Kentucky, Youngstown, Ohio. I went to NASCAR races, Liberty University, I did a whole lot of things, and I spent a lot of time with the smartest people I could find on the issues that I cared about from the right: John Lott on guns, Arthur Brooks on poverty, just the smartest people who would talk to me. And it was an amazing conversation.”

So is there really a question of whether Trump reduced crime in DC? Did the Washington Post inaccurately report murder data to make the drop look smaller than it actually is?

So is there really a question of whether Trump reduced crime in DC? Did the Washington Post inaccurately report murder data to make the drop look smaller than it actually is?

The Washington Post doesn't really want to give President Trump credit for the drop in crime in DC. Please look at the graph above and notice that there was a discrete change in August and September 2025 (and the change only started about half way through August on...
