Australian gun laws did not stop Man Haron Monis or Farhad Jabar from obtaining firearms. The guns used in the Port Arthur massacre were purchased illegally. The guns used in the Milperra massacre are still legal now (as well as the knifes and machetes used in the Milperra incident).
What did stop people like Farhad Jabar from killing more people was some very brave police officers, in other words a good guy with a gun.
