Austin police said on May 1, around 6:59 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting that someone had been shot at the Shell gas station at 2001 E. Riverside Drive…
The investigation revealed Valerio-Rodriguez went to his girlfriend’s job, which is near the gas station, intoxicated. They began arguing outside of her job.
Eventually, the girlfriend went back inside and Valerio-Rodriguez left. Later, Valerio-Rodriguez went back to his girlfriend’s job, banging on the door. A man, who was a bystander, intervened, which made Valerio-Rodriguez pull out a knife.
The man then pulled out a gun and shot Valerio-Rodriguez.
The man who shot Valerio-Rodriguez is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
No charges are being filed at this time…

The shooting happened around 6:15 a.m. at the Snowflake Donuts shop on Winkler Drive along the Gulf Freeway. Officers arrived at the scene just after 6:20 a.m., where they found the suspect dead inside the business.
Houston Police Department Homicide Det. Socrates Trujillo said the suspect, armed with a firearm and dressed in a black hoodie and dark clothing, entered the shop during an apparent robbery. The store owner, who was also armed, shot the suspect. The suspect’s gun was recovered at the scene, and a cash register was found open, police said…
Trujillo said the investigation remains in its early stages. The store owner is not currently facing any charges, but the case will be presented to a grand jury for review…

Police later arrested Garcia in his black pickup truck and discovered that he had a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Police said it appeared that Garcia spilled beer on his clothing and found a can of Budweiser in his truck. Police also found an AR-15 inside the truck, according to the report…

Micheal Stephens, 56, was arrested Monday, May 19, on a warrant charging him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Anderson County Jail without incident, according to Sheriff Rudy Flores, after the arrest, which was made by Cpt. A. Pearson and Deputy B. Hay.
Earlier this month, Flores reported that at 7:50 p.m. Monday, May 5, deputies responded to a reported shooting on Private Road 8155 in Frankston.
Flores said the initial details indicate Stephens was shot in the chest by a 36-year-old female.

This is where investigators said a 27-year-old man and his 26-year-old girlfriend were walking after they had just parked, police said.
That’s when two men approached and held them at gunpoint, but the victims didn’t back down.
Police said the boyfriend got into a fight with the men and that when the girlfriend intervened, one of the suspects shot her in the leg.
The men then pistol-whipped and stole $1,000 in cash from the couple. But as the suspects were leaving in a getaway vehicle, police said the boyfriend — who was licensed to carry — pulled out his own gun and fired off 16 shots at the car…

A landlord involved in a shooting at a Pembroke Pines gas station on Monday afternoon said he opened fire because his tenant pointed a gun at him.
Jose Rodriguez-Julio, 32, faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the shooting at a Mobil gas station on Flamingo Road and Taft Street before 4 p.m., according to Pembroke Pines Police.
In an exclusive interview, the victim, Luis Alfonso Bueso, told NBC6 the suspect was his tenant. He said they had agreed to meet at the gas station to talk about money Bueso was owed.
Bueso said the suspect got there first, and waited for him to arrive. When Bueso did, Rodriguez-Julio allegedly approached his vehicle armed.
“I stepped back and… he was ready to shoot, but I didn’t give him a chance. When he took out his gun and aimed it, I started shooting,” Bueso said in Spanish. “Then he ran behind a tree, and I didn’t give him time to shoot. I felt so scared that you couldn’t even imagine what it was like. It was the first time I felt that scared in my life.”
None of the bullets hit Rodriguez-Julio, or anyone else in the area.
After the shooting, Bueso said he called 911 while Rodriguez-Julio fled in his car…

According to the criminal complaint, Bernalillo County deputies responded to a shooting call at a residence near the 1600 block of Gatewood Ave SW. The victim told deputies he had been driving northbound on Isleta Blvd SW with his 10-year-old son when the incident began. He said he passed a vehicle driven by a distracted female motorist who had been swerving. A brief exchange of middle fingers by both drivers ensued.
Moments later, a gold or tan-colored vehicle pulled in front of the victim’s red Chevrolet pickup at a red light. A bald Hispanic male wearing a white shirt exited the gold car and punched the victim through his open window. As the victim reached under his seat for a firearm, the assailant retreated.

Investigators say the incident began just before midnight at the Deli Sports Bar near the Loop 101 Agua Fria Freeway and Peoria Avenue. There, an employee called 911 to request that police help with an intoxicated patron, Franco, who refused several requests to leave.
While officers were en route, police say Franco went to the parking lot, grabbed a handgun from inside his car and started firing shots in the air and into the bar. Dispatchers then received another call that someone in the bar had been shot in the leg by someone in the parking lot.
Two men on a nearby park bench saw what was happening and intervened. Police say Franco then pointed his weapon at the two men, who were also armed, and a gunfight ensued.
Franco was shot in the chest, while the two other men weren’t hurt…

City police said officers were called around 9 p.m. Saturday to the 7100 block of Park Heights Avenue, where a 62-year-old man was taking trash out.
Police said two men approached the victim, assaulted him, knocked him to the ground and tried to steal his car. When the assailants couldn’t start the car, they tried to again assault the victim, who drew a gun and pointed it at them. The assailants ran off.
Police said the victim has a valid handgun permit and was treated at the scene for minor injuries…

After interviewing the witnesses and reviewing surveillance video footage, the MCSO said its investigation revealed that Teron Curtis, 45, entered the store shortly before 8 a.m. and purchased items before leaving. Curtis returned at 9:15 a.m. and was angry and threatened the cashier, stating she did not give him what he purchased, the MCSO said.
Investigators said he stated he would bring his girlfriend back to handle the problem.
According to the MCSO, the store cashier then called a family member and stated she had been threatened. The sheriff’s office said the cashier’s family member went to the store.
The MCSO also said Curtis and his girlfriend, Lakenya Russell, 39, then arrived at the store and attacked the cashier as well as the cashier’s family member. During the altercation, the investigators said, the family member shot Curtis and Russell…
Curtis and Russel both fled the scene and drove themselves to a local hospital, officials said, and the shooter placed her gun down and remained on scene until police arrived…
Officials said no arrests were made and that the case has been turned over to the district attorney’s office.

Officers responded to the 6400 block of East Roosevelt Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. for a report of a robbery in progress.
The manager at the Dunkin’ tells Action News that two armed men came in to rob the store and the customers inside.
The incident spilled outside, and the manager says, an armed customer fired shots, killing one of the alleged robbers…

Police said a 23-year-old man was driving eastbound just before 10 p.m. near the 7700 block of Belmont Avenue in the city’s Dunning neighborhood when he was involved in a “road incident” with another driver traveling in the same direction.
That driver pulled out a gun and fired shots at the 23-year-old. The 23-year-old, a concealed carry holder, then opened fire back, police said.
The other driver ultimately crashed into a building and the driver fled the scene…

An investigation has led Atlanta Police to believe the man who was killed at Mozley Park in May was involved in an armed robbery when he died…
Homicide investigators previously said Cummings walked up to a parked car, and the occupants inside opened fire.
APD said the death investigation has now been classified differently to show that a private citizen killed him during a crime.

After speaking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, KOMO News has learned that a group of five youth were walking down Union Street when three people riding scooters and another on a bike approached them and blocked their way to a stairwell to the waterfront.
The bicyclist had a gun and could be seen on video footage aggressively going up to the group and starting a confrontation.
“They were all confronting, and the active shooter took out his gun and fires and hits two people,” Tallariti said…
Police said a private citizen who was licensed to carry intervened and shot the suspect, who was a 16-year-old boy…
The private citizen who shot the suspect cooperated with police, and was taken to Seattle Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by detectives. Police said the citizen has not been arrested…
“I hate to say it, but I’m grateful that someone stopped what could have been even more dangerous gun violence,” Tallariti said.
