A man with a concealed carry license shot and wounded a man trying to rob him at gunpoint on a CTA Green Line train Friday afternoon near the Cicero station, according to officials.
About 4:45 p.m., the suspected robber, 33, approached a 25-year-old man on the train, Chicago police said.
The younger man, pulled out a firearm of his own and a shootout ensued, police said. That man had a valid CCL/FOID license.
The suspected robber was shot in the leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital . . . The younger man was not struck by gunfire. . . .
