On November 5th, 2026, an armed employee, who was a Marine veteran, stopped an attacker who obviously planned to murder many people as he still had 90 rounds of ammunition on him. Fortunately, Citibank allowed employees with law enforcement or military training to carry concealed at the bank. While the media is referring to him as a security guard, as a Marine veteran, he was apparently allowed to carry in the bank.

A Florida Marine veteran was credited Thursday as a hero for fatally shooting a gunman who drove onto a Citibank Center campus and began hunting down workers in anger over a delinquent $2,500 credit card bill, officials said. . . . “He is an individual that’s afforded an opportunity to carry a firearm because the ones who were either previous law enforcement or military and have that training. Citibank empowers them to carry a handgun,” Chronister said.

Louis Casiano, “Marine veteran working security hailed as hero after stopping active shooter at Florida Citibank campus,” Fox News, November 5, 2026

“Our suspect took one life, and that’s one life too many,” Chronister said, stating that the suspect was carrying 90 rounds of ammunition.
