Officers responded to six ShotSpotter alerts, totaling over 50 rounds of gunfire, on the 3800 block of East 131st Street.
When officers arrived, they found the vehicle’s owner and another man involved in the incident.
A preliminary investigation revealed that four armed suspects, including a 16-year-old boy, drove up to the attempted carjacking victim and tried to steal his car, CPD said.
Police said the victim exchanged gunfire with the suspects and ultimately left the scene without the owner’s car…

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were called around 9:47 a.m. Sunday to the 18400 block of Blanco Road for a reported disturbance.
Investigators say the suspect had been harassing and threatening the business owner and employees for weeks, with incidents dating back to March.
Police say the man showed up Sunday, threw a box of fertilizer at the front of the business, then returned armed with a knife. He allegedly slashed a tire and began damaging more property.
That’s when the owner came outside and, fearing for their safety, fired a shot that struck the suspect in the leg, officials said…
Police say despite being shot, the man is considered the suspect in the case, not the victim.
Investigators say charges could include criminal mischief and terroristic threats, and they are also looking into whether the case may involve hate crime elements.

Garland Police said officers were called to a crash near Highway 66 and Dairy Road at about 3:30 p.m.
When they arrived, they learned the driver of a green car had collided with two other vehicles on the road and then all of the drivers involved stopped at a gas station on the corner. That’s where police said the driver of the green car attempted to take several other vehicles in the gas station parking lot by force.
The man was seen checking car handles and managed to get inside one car, but was unable to drive away…
The man then crossed Dairy Road and went to a convenience store parking lot. As a man in a Chevrolet Impala pulled into the parking lot, police said the driver involved in the crash confronted him as soon as he stopped and started to get out of the vehicle.
Police said the man’s family was in the Impala, including two adult women and five children.
There was a struggle between the two men and police said the driver of the Impala pulled out a gun and shot the other man at least once…
Police said the driver of the Impala remained at the scene and has been cooperative with investigators. No charges have been filed…

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on May 3, 2026, at approximately 1:56 p.m. at 325 Martin Luther King Drive South (Brothers Food Mart).
According to MCSO, upon arrival, deputies located a deceased individual in the parking lot, later identified as Tyler Carl Edward Hodges (DOB: 10/31/1986). Hodges sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Preliminary investigation, including surveillance footage from Brothers Food Mart, revealed that Hodges was standing in the parking lot with several individuals when an older model GMC pickup truck arrived and parked nearby. An argument ensued between Hodges and the driver of the truck.
During the encounter, Hodges walked to the trunk of his vehicle, retrieved a machete, and approached the occupants of the truck while waving the weapon. At that time, the driver of the truck fired multiple shots, striking Hodges, and then fled the scene.
Investigators interviewed several witnesses in the area who corroborated the events captured on surveillance video. Witnesses also indicated that this incident stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the individuals, including a prior altercation approximately two weeks earlier in which the shooter was reportedly injured by Hodges with the same machete…

Officers responded to the 3300 block of 76th Street around 2:45 a.m. for a report of shots fired and a person who had been hit by gunfire, according to the Inver Grove Heights Police Department. They found the 911 caller, who was struck by a bullet. They were taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, officials said.
Investigators said the suspect was trying to get into the vehicle of the caller. Both individuals shot at each other after a short verbal altercation, according to police.

The individual, identified by authorities as Tyler Brown, of Boston, was already traveling down the middle of Memorial Drive on foot, she said, with cars stopped in traffic. He was in possession of an assault-style rifle and was actively firing “in an erratic fashon” at vehicles along the road, she said.
A very high number of rounds, between 50-60, were fired in a very short period of time, striking two males in separate vehicles, Ryan said. They were both rushed to Boston hospitals with life-threatening injuries.
As state police were arriving, a trooper in his cruiser and a civilian, a Marine licensed to carry a gun, arrived at the scene to find people jumping from cars, scattering in different directions as gunshots rang out. Some people were later found hiding under their cars in search of a safe place.
One woman said that Marine saved her life.
“I could see the shooter coming towards me in the middle of the road,” said Rachel Saveriano…
Panicked, she froze — until the Marine came to her door.
“A man came around his car and pulled open my car door and made, like, a barricade,” Saverino said. “He had a gun, and he told me to run, and I ran, and then I just screamed to people to run as I was running.”
The cruiser from which the first-arriving trooper stepped was struck by a bullet, Ryan said. The trooper and the civilian ran toward the suspect with their weapons to try and end the situation. Both fired their weapons and struck Brown multiple times in his extremities. Brown was treated on scene and taken to a Boston hospital, where he is being treated for his injuries…

A man who crashed into his ex-girlfriend’s car, climbed out with a gun, and advanced on the people inside was stopped with a single shot. Police are now calling it self-defense.
Austintown police released the details Tuesday about the May 13 shooting at New Road and Laurie Drive. Chief Valorie Delmont said the case began as a domestic situation and ended with a dead attacker.
As reported by WKBN, Zachary Fisher, 30, was driving when his vehicle crashed into a car driven by his ex-girlfriend. She had two children in the vehicle, along with a man in the passenger seat.
After the crash, Fisher got out with a gun in his hand. Police say he got into a physical altercation with his ex-girlfriend, then moved toward the passenger side where the man was sitting.
The passenger fired once. Delmont’s release said he acted “in an effort to protect himself and the others,” and the single shot incapacitated Fisher…

Officials say several tips helped in identifying the suspect, 32-year-old Antwanius Thornton, who is accused of attempting to rob Fuller’s Superette at 900 Hamilton Road last week. According to police, Thornton was taken into custody on Friday.
Officers responded to the business around 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to investigators. A clerk reported that a man entered the business and handed over a note that read, “Put all the money in a bag.”
The robbery was cut short, authorities said, when the clerk pulled a firearm from beneath the counter and pointed it at the suspect. Police say the suspect quickly grabbed his note and left the building…

According to a press release from the Charleston Police Department, a call came in at 10:45 p.m. of a reported shooting near the intersection of Greenbrier Street and Deitrick Boulevard.
During the preliminary investigation, police say that William Ray Hinerman, 63, of Charleston, was driving aggressively before the incident. Investigators believe the driver of a second vehicle pulled over in an attempt to avoid confrontation.
According to statements and evidence gathered at the scene, Hinerman allegedly made a U-turn, returned to the location, exited his vehicle, and approached the other driver. During the confrontation, Hinerman allegedly struck the other driver multiple times.
The second driver then pulled out a gun and shot Hinerman once in the abdomen. Hinerman was transported to a local hospital, where he died.
Following the shooting, the driver immediately contacted 911, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators…

The incident began on Saturday around 8 p.m., when the Biloxi Police Department got a report of a naked man— now identified as Virden— emerging from the Biloxi River and walking up to homes on Woolmarket Lake Road.
Officials said one of the homeowners, who wasn’t home at the time, saw Virden on his doorbell camera and called his next-door neighbor.
The neighbor walked up to the house to see if the man needed help, but was attacked by Virden, police said.
After being attacked, the neighbor shot Virden multiple times. Virden then managed to get the gun away from the neighbor before fleeing back into the river, officials said…

A man was shot and killed at a Royal Farms convenience store in Frankford Sunday night. Philadelphia police said the shooting may have been an act of self-defense.
It happened around 7:50 p.m. at the store on Church Street, off Aramingo Avenue, not far from the I-95 exit.
Officials said the 22-year-old victim walked into the store and approached the shooter. Surveillance footage shows them getting into a face-to-face altercation. Then, the 22-year-old pulls out a gun and points it at the man.
“This other individual, who we now know to be a 21-year-old Hispanic male, pulls out a gun himself and fires at least three times at the person who initially put a gun toward his head and neck area,” said Inspector D.F. Pace.
The victim tried to walk out of the store but collapsed. Officers took him to the hospital, where he died shortly thereafter.
Police said the shooter has a license to carry and is cooperating with the investigation…
