Atlanta police said one person who was threatening another person with a knife was shot. That person’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

The altercation happened around 4:20 a.m. at the Pilot gas station in the 2600 block of Bouldercrest Road…

The person with the knife is facing a charge of aggravated assault upon release from the hospital.

During the attempted robbery, the victim of the robbery acted in self-defense, resulting in both suspects being shot…

Deputies were called to Wabasso Foods in the 6300 block of 85th Street east of 66th Ave around 3:30 p.m. Oct. 3, according to Indian River County Sheriff’s Office officials.

A 62-year-old Wabasso area resident traveled to the store on a bicycle and while in the parking lot of the convenience store he “threatened a lady … (saying) he was going to kill her,” said Lt. Kevin Jaworski.

The woman fled and the man continued into the store demanding everyone inside the building to leave, Jaworski said.

“The employee pushed him outside,” he said. “She told him to drop the gun, at which point she fired off two rounds (into the air), basically a warning shot to get him to drop the gun.”…

Calvert Allen was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and exhibition of a weapon in public.

The employee, Jaworski said, acted in self-defense, and was, “well (within) her rights to protect herself.”…

Investigators reported that a masked suspect entered the store and displayed a firearm, demanding property from an employee. The employee then fired back, striking the suspect multiple times. The employee was not injured…

When police responded to an emergency call Saturday at the establishment on Navco Road, they found 56-year-old Roderic Williams dead in the parking lot. Blackwood said it appears Williams was the aggressor…

Blackwood said the investigation suggests that Williams was causing a disturbance and then pulled a weapon. 

“There were two shooters, I believe,” he said. “One person, obviously, shot first. And fire was returned at that point.”…

As is standard, prosecutors will present the case to a grand jury. If police uncover new information, the grand jury has the discretion to indict. But Blackwood added that investigators have a pretty clear picture of what happened.

“Self-defense is not a crime,” he said. “We encourage self-defense.”

A deadly shooting happened Saturday night in Pell City, leaving one person dead and another person injured. Police Chief Clay Morris confirmed the shooting took place around 11:30 p.m. in the 800 block of 16th Street. The shooting happened during an attempted robbery of a group playing cards under a carport.

According to the preliminary investigation by the Pell City Police Department, Kailan Sanders, armed with an AK-47, attempted to rob the group. Sanders shot one man and demanded their property. An armed citizen, acting in self-defense, exchanged gunfire with Sanders, ultimately striking him. Sanders was pronounced dead at the scene…

According to a St. Louis police crime summary report, based on preliminary findings, a witness confronted two people who were reportedly breaking into cars. At some point, the suspects allegedly pulled a firearm, and the witness fired shots at the suspected car thieves…

On Monday, Oct. 6 around 9 a.m., Metro police responded to reports of a shooting at Tee Pee Lane and Grand Teton Drive in the northwest valley. Police located Gonzalez inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, they said.

Police later determined the shooting involved road rage between Gonzalez and another driver, officers said. Police said Gonzalez followed the woman to her home about a mile and a half away, where the shooting then occurred.

In an interview with police, the woman said she “mistakenly cut off” Gonzalez while driving, and an argument ensued, documents said. Gonzalez then followed her home, showed a gun and said,  “I will kill you.”

Out of the woman’s home, the other driver’s boyfriend, Javon Smith, fired at Gonzalez, police said. Police said the other driver called her boyfriend in the minutes before the shooting. After the shooting, Smith left the home but later returned to the shooting scene…

He did not face charges as of Tuesday connected to Monday’s shooting…

According to previous reports, officers were called to a CVS Pharmacy location in the 4400 block of East 10th Street on the evening of Oct. 7 on a report of a man threatening employees. As officers were responding to the business, IMPD said that additional 911 callers reported that shots had been fired and people were injured…

An investigation into the incident uncovered that a man, later identified as Terry Rowe Jr., reportedly became “verbally aggressive” over an issue surrounding a prescription and “caused a large disturbance.”…

Court records indicate the other shooter involved in the incident knew one of the CVS employees. The CVS employee in question actually called the other shooter to the scene, according to court documents…

When the man the employee called made it to the scene, he noticed the employee and Rowe had been involved in some sort of conflict. When the man attempted to break up the argument, tempers flared and the disturbance escalated further.

Eventually, the man the CVS employee called to the store and Rowe fired shots at each other. One of the CVS employees sustained gunshot wounds to her left upper arm and left shoulder area. The other employee was shot in her right arm…

As of this article’s publication the other shooter involved in the incident at CVS had not been arrested or charged. Court records confirm that police interviewed the man, but ultimately released him pending further investigation…

The first incident happened around 7 p.m. on the 800 block of N 9th Street after police say a 14-year-old and another suspect attempted to rob two men at gunpoint.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), one of the victims, a 45-year-old man, was carrying a firearm at the time of the shooting. Officials say shots were fired by the 14-year-old and the 45-year-old man. Both sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting…

The incident happened at JL and Enid Demps Park, located at 11350 SW 216th St., at around 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Deputies said Shepherd, of Homestead, was at the park with his girlfriend and confronted another man who was at the game with his own girlfriend ― there to watch her child play ― and pulled up his shirt, displaying a pistol in his waistband.

According to an arrest report, the woman told Shepherd, “You’re not even supposed to be here,” to which he replied, “Who’s gonna stop me?” before taking out the gun and firing multiple rounds at the two.

That prompted the other man to hide behind a tree, then take out his own gun and begin firing, deputies said…

Shepherd was arrested at around 3 a.m. Friday at MDSO’s Cutler Bay station.

Besides attempted murder, he faces charges of aggravated assault with a firearm and unlawful discharge of a firearm…

A 26-year-old man, Martrell Telly Minter, was shot in the shoulder at the Galleria Mall on Friday afternoon and will be charged, Rock Hill police said.

The driver was cooperating with the investigation and had a license to carry a weapon.

According to Dothan Police, Salter, 25-year-old Sharief Caesar, and an unidentified 18-year-old male walked into the Not Just Cuts barbershop in the mall and confronted a man who was getting a haircut inside.

Police say Salter began making threats to the man in the barbershop and pulled a gun, and a firefight ensued between Salter and the customer, who also pulled a gun.

Salter was hit multiple times, and police say the customer in the barbershop hid in a backroom of the business and waited for officers to arrive. Police later determined the customer involved in the shooting was acting in self-defense…

Chicago police are investigating after a concealed carry holder reported shooting a man who tried to run him over with his own stolen car Sunday morning in South Shore.

The licensed gun owner called 911 around 7:14 a.m. and reported that two men had just stolen his blue 2023 Acura and attempted to hit him with it in an alley behind the 6800 block of South Cornell Avenue…

Officers recovered three shell casings in the alley where the shooting occurred and questioned the concealed carry license holder on Sunday morning.

No charges had been announced against anyone as of Sunday evening.

Early Monday morning around 10:00 am, a tragic shooting took place at the Jack-in-the-Box located at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Sanderson Avenue in Hemet.

According to early reports, a husband, wife, and their baby were going through the restaurant’s drive-thru when they were confronted by an aggressive panhandler. Witnesses say the suspect became violent and attempted to jump through the family’s car window while shouting incoherently.

Fearing for their safety, an occupant in the car reportedly pulled out a firearm and fired at the suspect, striking him. The wounded man ran toward the opposite side of the Jack-in-the-Box before collapsing near the parking lot. He was later pronounced deceased at the scene…

The report was submitted to the District Attorney’s Office for review and filing consideration.  On December 8, 2025, after review, the District Attorney’s office determined the case would not be filed as a violation of Penal Code section 187 due to self-defense.  For additional information regarding this decision, contact the Riverside County District Attorney’s office.

A civilian who was in the store at the time broke up the attack by brandishing his legally registered handgun at the suspect, according to Rathfelder. The victim and suspect are known to each other…

The shooting happened just before 8 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of East 9th Street.

The 38-year-old man was driving eastbound in a Honda sedan and a man in a Tesla was driving westbound.

Police said because of the narrowness of the street, the two vehicles stopped head-on. A dispute began over who was going to pass first, with both drivers flashing their lights and honking horns.

The Tesla driver got out of his vehicle and fired several shots at the man in the Honda, hitting him in the arm, police said.

The wounded Honda driver fired some shots at the Tesla — which apparently missed — and it kept going out of the area, authorities said.

The Honda driver was taken to a hospital where he was in critical but stable condition. A police hold was placed on him while the investigation was ongoing but it was determined he acted in self defense and no criminal charges have been filed against him, authorities said…

An armored truck driver fired shots at would-be robbers on Friday morning in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:55 a.m. outside a Wawa store on the 7700 block of Frankford Avenue. Police say that’s where two suspects tried to rob the truck.

The Loomis truck driver fired a gun several times at the suspects, who fled the scene and remain at large…

Deputies were called about 3:30 p.m. Sunday to the Pink Beauty Supply store in the 1300 block of East Alondra Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Arriving deputies found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man entered the store following a female customer and then groped her, prompting employees to ask him to leave, according to sheriff’s officials.

“The male became increasingly verbally assaultive toward employees and customers,” sheriff’s officials said in a news release Monday. “He started throwing and damaging merchandise in the store. The incident rapidly escalated.”

Employees and customers said the man had what they believed was a knife in his hand, according to the news release.

“The male made verbal threats that he was going to kill and harm everyone in the store,” sheriff’s officials said.

The threats resulted in an another customer in the store getting her gun and firing a warning shot at the man. The man turned toward the customer, prompting her to fire a second shot that struck him, sheriff’s officials said.

Investigators say the customer who shot the man feared for her safety when she opened fire. It’ll be up to the DA’s office to decide if the woman will face any charges in connection with the fatal shooting…

Paul also confirmed that investigators believe the shooting stemmed from some kind of dispute between the shooter and the man who was killed that centered around the parties’ dogs, which had been involved in a fight. Police radio traffic monitored by Loudoun Now during the incident included references to a hostile dog at the scene of the shooting when deputies arrived…

At approximately 12:40 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the 4700 block of Palmer Drive, where a Halloween party attended by teenagers and young adults was being held, according to a statement from the West Valley City Police Department.

The statement says Allen Montelongo, 18, of Salt Lake City, was driving by the party and fired at a group of people standing in the roadway. A 16-year-old male from Sandy was hit multiple times by the gunfire, according to police.

Someone in the group returned fire, police said, hitting Montelongo and causing him to crash his car into a fence. He was later pronounced dead on scene…

Surveillance footage shows that around 7:18 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, a teenager from Oxford and a teenager from Eastaboga entered the lobby.

Police say the teenager from Eastaboga had his face covered with a mask and pulled up his t-shirt exposing a Draco style 7.62 caliber pistol as an act of intimidation to the two Little Caesars employees.

Both employees are from Anniston. One of the teens from Oxford went behind the counter and attacked one of the employees, according to police. A fist fight then happened between all four people. One of the employees was armed with a pistol during the fight.

The teen with the Draco disengages from his fight and proceeds to point his weapon in the direction of his friend and the armed employee who are still fighting.

The employee and the teen with the Draco exchanged at least one shot each inside the lobby…

With the fight ending and shots fired, the teens are then seen running outside the restaurant with the wounded employee collapsing on the ground behind them and returning gunfire…
