The House voted and passed on a unanimous voice vote Congressman Thomas Massie’s NICS Data Reporting Act. The House Judiciary Committee had previously passed the bill unanimously.. Many Democrats don’t want to fix this because it would eliminate their big talking point about 5.1 million dangerous or prohibited people having been stopped from buying guns since the instant background check system went into effect in 1998.
