Rasmussen: Do Likely Voters Believe that Prison is Important for Reducing Crime and Terrorism? Sixty-six percent (66%) of voters agree with that quote, including 43% who Strongly Agree. Just 21% disagree with Bukele’s statement, while another 13% are not sure.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey asked likely voters from April 15to 17th: “You cannot just free the criminals and think crime is going to go down magically, you have to imprison [criminals] so you can liberate 350 million Americans that are asking for the end of crime and the end of terrorism.” 83% of Republicans, 51% of Democrats and 62% of unaffiliated voters at least somewhat agree with the statement. While all groups agree with the statement, Liberals and Democrats are the least supportive.

UPDATE: Data directly from the Federal Police shows a different set of numbers (Original Post below). The number of CAC licenses in Brazil increased from 867,472 in 2022 to 1,026,633 in 2026 (see screenshots below), but those are internal government numbers that links...
