75% of Arrests in Midtown New York City and 60% in Queens are Illegal Immigrants

Something to remember when people claim that illegal immigrants aren’t committing crime. Illegal immigrants are obviously not making up 75% of the population in Midtown and 60% of that in Queens.

.

Police sources shared with The Post a staggering estimate that as many as 75% of the people they’ve been arresting in Midtown Manhattan in recent months for crimes like assault, robbery and domestic violence are migrants. In parts of Queens, the figure is more than 60%, sources there estimate.

.

On any given day, Big Apple criminal court dockets are packed with asylum seekers who have run afoul of the law. . . .

It would be interesting to see an analysis of how low wages spur increased immigration. All the factories just past the U.S.-Mexican border paying some ten percent as much as they’d pay Americans. Drugs are the only business that pays and the same border is valuable territory for smuggling. Many come because low-wage jobs are actually higher paying than the manufacturing ones at home. Many are under the radar, never get “outed” as an undocumented worker. It may be that they are 60% of the population in southern parts of Texas or Arizona.
