Canadian police advise people to leave their car FOBs at their front door so thieves can steal cars

Mar 14, 2024 | Crime

York Regional Police Constable Marco Ricciardi: “To prevent the possibility of being attacked in your home, leave your FOBs at your front door. Because they’re breaking into your home to steal your car. They don’t want anything else. A lot of them that are arrested have guns on them. And they aren’t toy guns, they are real guns, they are loaded.”

Possibly if Canadians also had guns, criminals might be less interested in stealing cars if victims were able to defend themselves.
