Rasmussen Reports survey from May 31 to June 5, 2022 shows that Americans are divided on banning “assault weapons,” including AR-15s. There are the expected splits between Republicans and Democrats, conservatives and liberals, low and high income, and low and high education people, with Republicans and conservatives types much more likely to think that a ban would violate the Second Amendment.
