A new Rasmussen Reports survey conducted October 5th and 8th-9th, 2023 finds that blacks are at least twice as likely to be concerned about rising violent crime as Democrats, Liberals, and those earning the highest incomes. Blacks are also slightly more likely to be be more concerned than those who went to graduate school. While 59% of those making less than $30,000 per year think that crime is getting worse, only 16% of those making over $200,000 feel the same way. And there is a consistent pattern where the higher the income, the less concern there is about violent crime getting worse. While 46% of those with less than a high school diploma and 52% of those who graduated from high school think violent crime is getting worse, only 32% of those with a graduate school education feel the same way.
