One popular theme among Democrats is the threat those carrying guns on election day pose to others. Namely that carrying guns intimidates voters. In Michigan in 2023, Democrats considered legislation banning concealed handguns within 100 feet of any ballot box, making it impossible to carry them in most cities.
This episode of CBS’s FBI Most Wanted amplifies that theme (S4, E18, April 18, 2023). The episode occurs in Wyoming, where the sheriff warns of a man carrying his gun near a polling place to intimidate her supporters into not voting. How the man carrying the gun would even know which person the voters were supporting isn’t clear.
