A man with a concealed carry license shot and wounded a man trying to rob him at gunpoint on a CTA Green Line train Friday afternoon near the Cicero station, according to officials.
About 4:45 p.m., the suspected robber, 33, approached a 25-year-old man on the train, Chicago police said.
The younger man, pulled out a firearm of his own and a shootout ensued, police said. That man had a valid CCL/FOID license.

Gun control advocates are clear. Jeffrey Fagan: “unless there are strong measures to reduce the supply of firearms, and also the legality of firearms, this will have little effect on the unacceptably high rates of both lethal and nonlethal firearm violence”
