At least 36 people were murdered in an attack at a nursery school in Uthai Sawan, Thailand

This attack was worse than any school shooting in the US. Only the Bath School bombing in 1927 had more murders, with 45 people dying. Thirty-four people were murdered at the school, plus the man also murdered his wife and child at home.

Thirty-seven people have been killed, most of them young children, in an unprecedented gun and knife attack at a preschool centre in north-east Thailand that has horrified the country.
