US 9th Court of Appeals Rules in Case for Whether California could ban gun ownership for 18 to 20 year olds, CPRC provided expert testimony

The court used strict scrutiny in deciding the case. Judges and Nelson and Lee, who were Trump judicial appointees, were in the majority, while Judge Stein, a Clinton appointee, dissented. A key discussion is available here:

the historical record showed that the Second Amendment protects the right of young adults to keep and bear arms, which includes the right to purchase them. Therefore, both California laws burdened conduct within the scope of the Second Amendment.
