This episode starts off with a bombing of a gun-control organization in an attack by those who support the right to self-defense. A daughter of the gun control group had been shot to death, and the mother then dedicated her life fighting to ban assault weapons. The story becomes more complicated because in desperation, unable to compete with all the money and influence of the “gun nuts,” the leader of the gun control organization helped finance the bombing in order to try to get sympathy for her cause. Finally, at the end of the show, the mother in complete desperation tries confronting the gun-rights group with a gun that she was supposedly able to buy in one day in New York City.
