According to an article in Fast Company, Dick’s Sporting Goods “estimates that its decision to stop selling automatic weapons cost it about $250 million in revenue.” If Dick’s CEO actually made this statement, he is either misspoke or doesn’t know much about guns. Possibly the reporter here made the mistake. In any case, it is very unlikely that Dick’s ever sold fully automatic guns, and surely not $250 million worth and definitely not fully automatic guns right before they made their decision to completely stop selling guns. In any case, they stopped selling ALL guns, not just fully automatic ones.
