In a hearing about the Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2021, Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) challenges Congressman Steve Cohen’s (D-TN) claim that there are no Defensive Gun Uses. Congressman Massie responded by reading from a recent report that the Crime Prevention Research Center. A copy of the study CPRC did is available here. Cohen is Chairman of the important Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights & Civil Liberties. It is concerning that a person in such a powerful position could make such an outrageous statement, and we are thankful that Congressman Massie called him out on this.
