Dr. John Lott talked to UK LBC Radio’s Maajid Nawaz about guns in the United States. Dr. Lott talked to Nawaz for over 20 minutes, but LBC is only selectively providing six minutes of the interview. From LBC’s description of the interview:
But when Maajid asked whether it would make it “exceedingly difficult” for emergency services to distinguish between a rampaging shooter and those trying to defend themselves, the advocate agreed.
“In theory it might be, but in practice it’s not because you don’t see it,” John replied.
“Is it possible that somebody could shoot a by-stander, sure,” John said, adding: “But in places where people are allowed to carry it doesn’t happen.”

I wonder, did Maajid Nawaz have a check list of tropes as his knowledge base?
God Bless you John R. Lott, Jr.
He certainly was reading from a script on all the false anti-gun talking points. And refusing to let you answer is also a tactic so he could then bring the ridiculous “temper” argument into play.
Well done Dr. Lott!
