A suppressor does not improve “accuracy.” It is NOT an extension of the barrel, has no rifling, and does not function as part of the barrel. It reduces the energy of the round and changes the point of impact compared to the unsuppressed gun. To use a suppressor requires the gun carry a slightly longer (about 1/2 inch) barrel to which is screwed the suppressor.

I may have missed it, but was the question addressed of how many shooting crimes have involved the use of a suppressor?
Did this perp have his suppressor legally? Legal owners of suppressors are like carriers: extraordinarily law-abiding with respect to gun use crimes.
I cannot think of another instance of a mass shooting or any other that has hit the news in my lifetime of a legal owner of a suppressor having used one in a murder. That is not to say it hasn’t happened.
When there are reports of a suppressor possibly having been used, it is an organized crime hit.
