Testifying in Baton Rouge on Constitutional Challenge to Louisiana’s Concealed Handgun Law

“The right of each citizen to keep and bear arms is fundamental and shall not be infringed.  Any restriction on this right shall be subject to strict scrutiny.” — Louisiana state Constitution regarding firearms that was enacted via ballot measure in 2012. Over 74 percent of Louisiana voters approved Amendment 2.

Dr. John Lott testified on Tuesday, April 23rd in a court case in Louisiana regarding the costs of Louisiana’s concealed carry permits. A copy of the PowerPoint that was presented to the court during Lott’s hour and forty-minute testimony and cross-examination is available here.
