Florida shooter explains that he killed people to get publicity

May 30, 2018 | Featured

Could the Parkland, FL shooter have made his motivations any clearer?

  • “When you see me on the news you will all know who I am.”
  • “From the rath of my power they will know who I am.”
  • “With the power of my AR you will all know who I am.”
  • “You will all know what my name is.”

For 20 years, Dr. Lott has been explaining that killers want to commit suicide in a way that will bring them notoriety. The goal of gaining media attention is present both in attacks by lone killers and in coordinated strikes by Muslim radicals. Here is a passage from Lott’s The War on Guns:

Adam Lanza, the Newtown killer, spent two-and-a-half years putting together a report on mass public shootings. Law enforcement described, “A sickeningly thorough 7-foot-long, 4-foot-wide spreadsheet with names, body counts, and weapons from previous mass murders and even attempted killings. ‘It sounded like a doctoral thesis, that was the quality of the research,’ an anonymous law enforcement veteran said.” Lanza also collected information on media coverage for each killing. He observed that attacks with more deaths received greater media coverage.

Lanza may have been mentally ill, but he clearly knew what he wanted to accomplish and how he was going to do it. Take this report from CBS Evening News:

Sources say Lanza saw himself as being in direct competition with Anders Breivik, a Norwegian man who killed 77 people in July 2011….

Two officials who have been briefed on the Newtown, Conn., investigation say Lanza wanted to top Breivik’s death toll and targeted nearby Sandy Hook Elementary School because it was the “easiest target” with the “largest cluster of people.”

James Holmes was also mentally ill, but Dr. William Reid, a state-appointed psychiatrist who performed Holmes’s sanity evaluation, testi- fied that Holmes carefully planned not only the theater to attack but also other minute details to maximize the number of possible victims.30 Over and over again, mentally ill killers invest a lot of time and energy into planning their attacks. Many start thinking about their attacks a year or two in advance. Mass public shootings rarely involved less than six months of planning.

The only way to prevent mass killers from becoming famous would be to change the first amendment.  No one at the CPRC favors that. But the media jumps so quickly on abolishing the 2nd Amendment, whereas they treat their own 1st Amendment rights as sacrosanct.

So again the real people with bloody hands are the leftist media with their agenda and greed. Not the NRA.

Your right, it is ridiculous the media just goes on and on messing with fundamental rights of so many in the name of free speech. It really isn’t because if you voice disagreement they label you!!! So much I disagree with and my own daughter calls me racist!!!

Colion Noir says it best: “The MEDIA make killers into rock stars.”

Every news report should insert the term “murderer” in place of the name. No other information is needed to be publicly disseminated.
Remove the motivation of being famous, perhaps the lunacy will stop.

Wow. The leftist, lieberal media are finally exposed for the shit they do. And then you got those stupid, immature fucks from parkland blaming the NRA. The fucking media give these ASSHOLES every bit of airtime they can. These stupid, little fucks think they can stop all mass shootings by blaming the NRA and politicians. STUPID CUNTS.

Using this language accomplishes absolutely nothing useful. You should be embarrassed for using such language.

Please STOP SHOWING THIS GUY’S FACE. STOP SAYING HIS NAME!

Possibly I am missing something, but this post neither shows the name of Parkland killer nor his picture. In any case, we need to mention the attack and talk about what motivated the killer, in this case, to show what motivates him.
