What gun control advocates don’t understand about mass public shootings and gun-free zones

Apr 2, 2018 | Featured

As the accompanying picture indicates, gun control advocates don’t seem to understand that there are two types of shooting attacks: 1) where there is only one target (such as a President) or 2) where a shooter is trying to kill as many as people as possible, typically in a public place such as a school or mall.  Civilians carrying guns are much better at preventing many from being harmed.  The reason is simple: when the killer attacks many people, he gives the good guys the chance to respond.  When there is only one target, if the target is taken out quickly, there is not the same chance to respond.

The types of attacks that concern people the most right now are the ones, such as the recent school shooting in Florida, that are intended to maximize casualties.

Do gun control advocates think that we should disarm the Secret Service?  Had he not been surrounded by armed guards, President Reagan would likely have been killed.

The only lives gun control is really designed to save is that of tyrants and their jackbooted minions.

It was never meant to stop mass shootings, criminal homicides, suicides or accidental deaths.
