May 6, 2017: A Houston Homeowner used an AR-15 to defend himself against three people who were trying to kill him. Having a rifle appears to have given the homeowner a real advantage in this gunfight because of its greater accuracy.  The video is from KPRC-TV Channel 2 and the news article below is from KTRK-TV Channel 13.

. . . Investigators say early Saturday morning a suspect vehicle drove up to the homeowner’s house on Glenburnie Drive and started shooting.
The homeowner was outside at the time and he hid behind a bush in the yard and returned fire. Officers say more than 40 shots were fired in the exchange.
The homeowner struck all three men inside of the car. The driver of the car crashed after the shooting hitting a car and then running into a yard. . . .
Preliminary officers said it appeared to be self-defense.

Here is another case from March 29, 2017 in Wagoner County, Oklahoma.
